Last weekend, a fashion designer called out one of the Kardashians on Instagram. Designer Christian Cowan, who is based in the UK, took to Instagram to report a blue dress he had loaded to Khloe had been listed on the family’s resale website for sale. His message was accompanied by a screenshot that has since disappeared.
No Christian Cowan garments are available on the Kardashian website at the time of writing. The sparkling blue dress in question was listed for $1,300 on the website, but it seems that since this kicked off last weekend all the designer’s items have been withdrawn.
An anonymous source says that according to Khloe, the dress was a gift via her stylist. She did not know it was a loan or that it was supposed to be returned. So was this all just one big misunderstanding? It has certainly brought more attention to the Christian Cowan brand.
So what is so special about this blue dress and why was it designed? It was originally created for Cowan’s Powerpuff Girls collection in 2019. This fashion line was debuted at LA’s famous City Market Social House back in March last year. This collection was inspired by the animated superheroes, and featured a line of blue, pink and green designs. Cowan announced at that time that he had women’s empowerment in mind when designing this range of clothing.
Janelle Miller was Khloe’s stylist at the time, and she was giving interviews about what it was like to work with the celebrity a month after the Cowan dress debuted on the runway. Cowan, Kardashian and Miller representatives stayed tight-lipped to the first requests for comment.
Kardashian Kloset is the Kardashian family’s resale website. This is where they list their used clothing as well as accessories. The website says that the items on there are hand-picked by the family members themselves. According to the website, the goal is to share a part of their family lifestyle by allowing people to purchase one of a kind items. It also says how this encourages sustainability. Various items from the wardrobes of Kris Jenner, as well as sisters Kendall, Kylie, Kim, Khloe and Kourtney are currently available for purchase via the website.

Christian Cowan was born in Cambridge, England, and make the jump across to the United States two seasons ago. Cowan’s brand is working on a variety of projects from charity gala shows with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to capsule collections with Google and the internet-famed selfie hat which he collaborated on with Acer, the tech giant.
