Meghan Markle’s Maternity Style For Second Baby Bump

Even before Meghan met Prince Harry, she was no stranger to fashion in the spotlight. Now that she is expecting a daughter, their second child, let’s take a look at her latest maternity fashions. What is Meghan Markle wearing this time around to show off her baby bump?

When she was pregnant with her first child, she was still assuming royal duties. The nine months that lead up to Archie’s birth, in May 2019, called for several overseas trips that demanded various maternity outfits. These outfits would be highly photographed and scrutinized by onlookers.

While she and Harry were expecting Archie, she went on overseas tours to Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and Morocco. She also made an appearance on stage at The Fashion Awards in a black velvet Givenchy. She was also, of course, seen plenty of times near the palace.

For her second baby, she is living in California with a different lifestyle. She and Harry walked away from their official royal duties right before pandemic shutdowns occurred. During that time, she also suffered a miscarriage. Now, the two have settled down in California, and she has not made many public appearances.

Onlookers, however, still take notice whenever she steps out. And, all have noticed that her pregnancy wardrobe is quite different from her first. She made a switch from vibrant block colors to softer shades with sweet florals and more fluid silhouettes which reflect her care-free California environment.

Vogue photographer Misan Harriman captured Meghan at home showing off the first glimpse of the newest baby bump. You may recognize the photographer’s name from the BLM cover photo featuring a man standing in a shirt that read, “I Can’t Breath!”

In regard to Meghan, she was wearing a custom Wes Gordon for Carolina Herrera dress. Gordon had made the dress for her during Meghan’s first pregnancy. Even though the dress is now two years old, it still looked great to accent her latest pregnancy glow.

This time around, the mom-to-be has branched out into wearing florals. The elegant blooms have added a sweet touch to the second pregnancy. She has also been seen in a sweet drop-waist dress by Oscar de la Renta that featured the pattern of citrus fruits and blossoms.

On her famous Oprah interview, she chose to wear a silk black A-line dress by Giorgio Armani. The dress featured a spray of lotus flowers in full bloom over her shoulder. Since then, she has been seen in a vibrant red and pink poppy-print dress from Gordon’s Carolina Herrera.

One thing that has remained the same for Meghan is that she stays away from the made-for-maternity brands. Instead, she chooses designs that offer flowing shapes or opts for custom designs to allow her growing baby bump to flourish while staying stylish.

She has also given careful thought to jewelry accents with each new outfit. Her jewelry picks nicely piece together family heritage with her own personality. When she was expecting Archie, she showed off an Ecksand ruby ring which has not been seen since in photographs. She had paired the ring with a Cartier timepiece and a Love bracelet. With child Number Two, she has been seen pairing a Pippa Small aquamarine necklace with Birks Bee topaz earrings. On her left wrist, however, she reserves for a Cartier tennis bracelet that once belonged to Princess Diana.
